A couple of weeks ago, the CEIA, an award program that recognizes outstanding achievement in the Canadian events industry held a gala to announce and award the 2009 winners. A huge congratulations to the always inspiring ladies, Elvira & Cathy of DEVAN for their award in theĀ Best Theme Decor $10,000-$30,000.

Devan is constantly pushing the boundaries of design and searching for innovative ways to bring their clients’ visions to life. They were awarded for their work on an Orient Express (click to see images) theme but here is some of their recent decor work that I had the opportunity to work with their team on. Elvira D’Avanzo, the creative spirit, never ceases to amaze me with her resourcefulness and creative inspirations. I am so impressed and amazed at how she executed this holiday event of mesmerizing fantasy and optical illusion art.

I LOVE this bar treatment!!

AGURI to Elvira and Cathy and the team at Devan for their award. You rock!!!

One of my new favourite blogs to follow is Ruffled – they focus on modern vintage wedding inspirations and ideas. It is a beautiful blog with great photos and DIY projects. Here is one I just had to re-post about because I L-O-V-E photobooths and this DIY photobooth project is so sweet.

Here is the photo – click on RUFFLED for instructions and materials.

This project was also a great way for Laura, the bride, to get her fiance involved in a wedding project!

Green Wedding Shoes featured Kristin + Brandon’s Organic Green Wedding earlier this week. Their ceremony set up is so inspired by nature and simple. I LOVE this captured moment – the guests with their cameras out and then the elated bride and groom.

So sweet!

The feather exhibit, an alternative to traditional floral centerpieces, created by To Suit Your Fancy was a show-stopper for brides this weekend at The Total Wedding Show.

Add a touch of whimsical magic and grace to your celebration by adding this exotic adornment to a bouquet, centerpiece or wedding attire. The feather-inspired Monique Lhuillier dress is elegant and simply beautiful.
